PORT ALLEN — Police arrested a 27-year-old Brusly man Thursday on suspicion that he robbed a local pharmacy, the police department reported.

Jarod Jackson is accused of breaking into Bourg’s Pharmacy, 484 Louisiana Ave., Port Allen, on Aug. 25 and stealing a large amount of pills, including Lortab, OxyContin and other narcotics, police said.

Jackson was arrested and booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center on a count of simple burglary. His bond has been set at $1 million, police said.
