Chamber holds state-of-WBR event
BRUSLY — The West Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce holds its annual State of the Parish Address and Breakfast 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Louisiana Bayou Bistro in Brusly.
Scheduled to speak are Parish President Riley “Peewee” Berthelot and mayors Derek Lewis, Port Allen; Joey Normand, Brusly; and Carroll Bourgeois, Addis.
Parish legislative delegation members — Reps. Regina Barrow, D-Baton Rouge; Karen St. Germain, D-Plaquemine; and Major Thibaut, D-New Roads — have been asked to give brief overviews of the 2009 session of the Legislature.
The cost to attend the event at the Brusly restaurant, 441 S. Vaughan St., is $15 for chamber members and $20 for nonmembers.
