Authorities book 2 on suspicion of DWI
Authorities arrested at least two people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 3 p.m. Wednesday, booking records show.
Those booked and the counts against them:
- Holly Williamson, 52, 10426 Magnolia Blossom Ave., Greenwell Springs, first-offense DWI and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
- Timothy Allen Barklage, 37, 8008 Bluebonnet Blvd., No. 811, first-offense DWI, reckless operation of a vehicle, equipment violation and drinking in a motor vehicle.
Pepper spray leads to woman’s arrest
A woman angry that none of her relatives would watch her children responded by spraying pepper spray inside her mother’s house on June 19.
Tiberia Nash, 19, allegedly brought her children over to her mother’s house at 2860 North St. and got into an argument with her brother over who would watch them, an affidavit of probable cause said.
When Nash became angry, she went out to her car to get a container of pepper spray, which she then sprayed inside of the house, the affidavit said.
Four children watching television in the living room ran outside coughing, the affidavit said. All four had red, watery eyes.
Nash told officers she had intended to spray her brother but ended up spraying the inside of the house, the affidavit said.
Nash, 5617 Prescott Road, Apt. 66, was booked into Parish Prison on Tuesday on a count of cruelty to juveniles, booking documents show. Her bond was set at $10,000.
Police say suspect held woman hostage
Police arrested a 56-year-old man Tuesday after he allegedly tied up a 63-year-old woman and held her hostage for several days.
