City-parish, state and federal offices and courts are closed today in observance of Independence Day.
Garbage and recyclables will be collected today and Saturday and the Ronaldson and North landfills will be open today and Saturday.
Mail will be delivered and collected today. However, some local post offices will close at noon today.
Post offices will be closed Saturday and only Express mail will be delivered.
Capital Area Transit System buses will run today and Saturday. East Baton Rouge Parish public libraries will be closed Saturday only.
The Animal Control Center is closed today and Saturday.
East Baton Rouge Parish School Board offices are closed today.
LSU and Southern University are closed today. Baton Rouge Community College is open today but will be closed Monday.
Many banks, including Hancock, Capital One, Chase, Whitney, B&K and Regions, are open today. Some banks, including Iberia Bank, American Gateway, Citizens and State Bank and Trust, are closed today. Some banks also will be closed Saturday.
