Today
Baton Rouge
KENILWORTH’S FOURTH OF JULY PARADE: 6:30 p.m. beginning at Kenilworth Middle School. DeDe Breaux is grand marshal.
Clinton
RED, WHITE AND BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL: 7 p.m., downtown, street dance with music by United We Stand Band; 8:30 p.m. patriotic program at the bandstand next to Clinton Drugs and fireworks at the Landmark ATM parking lot.
Donaldsonville
FIREWORKS ON THE RIVER: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Crescent Park, music by Water’s Edge and Mojeaux, food for sale and fireworks display overlooking Mississippi River. No ice chests.
Saturday
Baton Rouge
STAR-SPANGLED CELEBRATION: Downtown at the riverfront. Live music, food, military aircraft fly-over, mock battle between WWII aircraft and USS Kidd, ends with 9 p.m. fireworks show.
Clinton
RED, WHITE AND BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., downtown, amusements, game booths, blueberries and blueberry products, posters and information on the courthouse lawn. Monthly community market with more than 100 vendors, and blueberry cooking contest at Feliciana Harvest Church, 9 a.m. and winners announced at 11 a.m.
