Farm Bureau re-elects president

NEW ORLEANS — Ronnie Anderson, 61, of Ethel, was re-elected Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation president Sunday during the organization’s 87th annual meeting, according to a news release.

Others elected to Farm Bureau’s five-member executive committee were Jim Harper of Rapides Parish, first vice president; Scott Wiggers of Franklin Parish, second vice president; Linda Zaunbrecher of Vermilion Parish, third vice president; and Jackie Theriot of St. Martin Parish,  secretary-treasurer.

The Farm Bureau board of directors is made up of the executive committee and an 11-member board of directors. Those elected or re-elected Sunday include District 1, Dean Graner, DeSoto Parish; District 2, Doug Duty, Ouachita Parish; District 3, William Stutts,  West Carroll Parish; District 4, Leonard “Buddy” Pierce Jr., from central Louisiana; District 5, Thomas Mayes, of Kinder; District 6: Larry Lefleur, of Bunkie; District 7: Richard Hoffpauir, of Lake Charles; District 8, Michael Melancon, of Breaux Bridge; District 9, Harold Kirby, of Zachary; District 10, Greg Gravois, of Vacherie; and District 11, John Tilton, of West Baton Rouge Parish.

Marty Wooldridge, of Oil City, was elected chairman of Farm Bureau’s Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee. Denise Hymel, of Gramercy, was reelected chairman of the Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee.
