Man gets 66 years for armed robbery
DONALDSONVILLE — A Donaldsonville man convicted of the January armed robbery of Coco’s Treasure Chest was sentenced to serve 66 years in prison, 23rd Judicial District Attorney Ricky Babin said Wednesday.
District Judge Jane Triche-Milazzo sentenced Nate Walker, 28, on Tuesday to serve his term without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentenced, Babin said in a news release.
Walker, who had two prior felony convictions, was sentenced as an habitual offender, Babin said.
In another case, Triche-Milazzo sentenced David Bradley, 30, 609 E. Hamilton St., Gonzales, to seven and one-half years in prison on a conviction for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Bradley, who had two prior felony convictions, also was sentenced as a convicted felon and is to serve his prison term without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence, Babin said.
