Around Livingston for June 15, 2009
Learn how best to ensure neighbors, church members, schoolmates and others are counted in the 2010 census during a meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Old City Hall Welcome Center and Museum, 115 Mattie St., Denham Springs.
A representative of each church, school, municipality, agency, community, civic, spiritual or nonprofit group or any type of organization should attend.
The 2010 census count affects the parish’s share of federal funding. No obligation or long-term commitment is required by attending the meeting.
Communities without census “points of contact” are needed also. E-mail muriel.laws@census.gov or call (225) 456-7095.
