Baker to hold job fair for teachers

BAKER — The Baker school system will have a job fair for prospective teachers from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Baker High School gymnasium, 3200 Groom Road.
Educators from all grade levels and special education teachers are invited to attend the job fair.
Newly hired teachers who are certified and highly qualified may expect more than $40,000 in first-year compensation in addition to a $2,500 signing stipend for teachers who commit to the system for three years, the School Board said in a news release.
Interested teachers may contact the system’s Human Resources Department at (225) 330-6735 for further information or to submit an employment packet for an on-site interview.
