PRAIRIEVILLE — Deputies arrested six people Tuesday at a residence where a man was shot to death in an apparent drug-related robbery last month, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office reported.

Deputies investigating theft and sexual battery complaints on Monday searched the residence of Antonio J. Coco, 28, 15005 Beau Jon St., Prairieville, Chief Deputy Tony Bacala said in a news release issued Tuesday night.

The theft and sexual battery incidents reportedly occurred at Coco’s house.

Bacala said investigating  deputies found a quantity of crack cocaine and other narcotics along with five firearms and $1,200 cash at the residence.

Coco was booked on criminal counts of sexual battery, possession of crack with the intent to distribute, marijuana possession, possession of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance, possession of a Schedule IV controlled dangerous substance and illegal carrying of a weapon.

Four other people found at Coco’s residence were arrested and booked with the same drug and weapons counts as Coco. They are:

  • Henry Christian, 40, 38190 La. 621, Gonzales.
  • Patrick Williams, 35, 16393 Tillotson Drive, Prairieville.
  • Tiffany Roper, 22, 15005 Beau Jon St., Prairieville.
  • Rose Barker, 33, 10504 La. 22 Lot 28, St. Amant.

Bacala identified the sixth person arrested in the investigation as Antonio Coco’s father,  Eddie Mac Coco Sr., 60, of the same address, booked with  keeping a disorderly place.

Bacala said the criminal count filed against Eddie Mac Coco was due to ongoing suspected criminal activity at the home.

The Beau Jon Street residence was the scene of an April 14 triple shooting in which Kolby Lambert, 17, died and Antonio Coco and Dennis Seay, of Gonzales, were shot and wounded in what appeared to be a drug-related robbery, Bacala said.

Deputies arrested four people in connection with the April 14 robbery-shooting incident.
