Victim in Slaughter plane crash dies
A man whose plane crashed into an airstrip in Slaughter this morning has died, said Julie Madere, a spokeswoman for Lane Regional Medical Center.
The man, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the Zachary hospital at 11:28 a.m., she said. Acadian Ambulance rushed the man to Lane after the accident.
The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the crash, said Roland Herwig of the regional FAA office in Oklahoma City.
Acadian Ambulance says a small plane crashed on the runway at a Slaughter air strip on Midway Road this morning.
Acadian is rushing one patient to Lane Memorial Hospital.
