Prison worker arrested in molestations
ST. FRANCISVILLE — West Feliciana Parish sheriff’s deputies on Wednesday arrested a St. Francisville man accused of molesting two girls, including one who is now an adult.
Deputies booked Jesse Ray Morris, 66, 10210 Mimosa Court, on three counts of molestation of a juvenile and one count of sexual battery,
sheriff’s Lt. Michaela Magee said.
Morris, a Louisiana State Penitentiary maintenance worker, was arrested at the prison with the cooperation of Angola investigators, Magee said.
Magee said a juvenile came forward last week, accusing Morris of fondling her. During an interview conducted by the Child Advocacy Center in Jackson, the girl accused Morris of fondling her over a nine-year period.
The three molestation counts resulted from the girl’s statements, Magee said.
The sexual battery count was added after another woman came forward to accuse Morris of fondling her when she was a child, the detective said.
