State Sen. Sharon Broome, D-Baton Rouge, has scheduled a series of community meetings in her legislative district.

The 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. meetings will begin Thursday at the Greenwell Springs Library, 1300 Greenwell Springs Road.

Other sessions will be March 3 at the Baker Branch Library, 3501 Groom Road, and March 9 at the Zachary Branch Library, 1900 Church St.

Broome will discuss legislative issues affecting Senate District 15 constituents and review her priorities for the legislative session that opens April 27, according to a news release.

Also on the agenda is discussion of the recently passed federal economic package and its impact on the area, the release said.

District 15 includes most of north Baton Rouge and the northwest parts of East Baton Rouge Parish, including Baker and Zachary.
