Qualifying dates set for Sorrento election

GONZALES — Candidates may qualify for the April 4 election in Sorrento Feb. 11 to Feb. 13, Ascension Parish Clerk of Court Kermit “Hart” Bourque said Monday.
Qualifying is scheduled Feb. 11 and Feb. 12 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and Feb. 13 from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Elections will be held in Sorrento for mayor, chief of police and town council.
Candidates may qualify at the offices of the clerk of court, 815 E. Worthy Road, Gonzales, or 300 Houmas St., Donaldsonville.
