LSU Police probe shooting of cows
LSU Police are seeking information about the shooting of two cows Friday near the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.

One cow had one visible entry wound, said David Heroman, an LSU Police spokesman.

The other cow had three entry wounds and one exit wound. Both cows survived.

Papa John’s robbed; police seek suspect
Police are looking for a man who robbed a clerk Monday at the Papa John’s Pizza, 12330 Florida Blvd.

The man walked into the restaurant about 9 p.m. armed with a handgun and demanded money, police spokesman Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said.

After grabbing the cash, the man ran away, McKneely said. No one was injured in the incident.

The robber is described as a black male who was dressed in all black, between the ages of 17 and 19, from 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and between 130 and 140 pounds, McKneely said.

Man, 24, booked in murder attempt 
A 24-year-old man accused of firing multiple shots at another man during an argument in September was booked Tuesday on counts including attempted second-degree murder.

The incident occurred about 7:50 p.m. Sept. 11 at 1900 N. 38th St., an arrest warrant says. No one was injured in the shooting, but the victim’s car was damaged.

Kendrick Cummings, 2015 N. 39th St., was booked into Parish Prison on one count each of attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon, aggravated criminal damage to property and aggravated assault with a firearm.

Authorities book three on DWI counts
Authorities arrested at least three people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 3 p.m. Monday and 3 p.m. Tuesday, records show.
