Police issue warrant for alleged shooter
Baton Rouge police have issued a warrant for a Baton Rouge man wanted for second-degree murder, police spokesman Lt. Charles Armstrong said in a news release.
Police believe that Kory Jackson, 20, shot and killed Devin Tate, 20, Saturday night, Armstrong said.
The shooting took place at 8:40 p.m. in the 5700 block of Sterns Street, he said.
Police found Tate, 4640 Glen Oaks Drive, with multiple gunshot wounds, Armstrong said. He was transported to LSU Earl K. Long Medical Center and died shortly after arrival, Armstrong said.
Witnesses told police that Jackson, 4658 Packard St., and Tate had been fighting immediately before the shooting, Armstrong said.
Jackson pulled out a gun, shot Tate and fled, Armstrong said.

6 arrested for alleged drunken driving
Authorities arrested at least six people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 3 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, booking records show.
Those booked and the counts against them:

- Pamela Corley Bailey, 40, 14131 Gemini Drive, Pride, third-offense DWI, improper lane usage and driving with a suspended/revoked license.
- Juan Diaz, 33, 10856 Abington, Apt. 4, first-offense DWI, possession of cocaine, reckless operation of a vehicle, improper lane usage and driving without a license.
- Jairo Marcos Ruiz, 29, 11917 Lake Sherwood, second-offense DWI, failure to stop/yield, driving left of center, drinking in public and reckless operation of a vehicle.
- Jesse Blake Graves, 20, 18621 Plank Road, Zachary, first-offense DWI and improper lane usage.
- Barry A. Ware, 49, 22203 Rolling Acres Drive, first-offense DWI, reckless operation of a vehicle and speeding.
