Suspect accused of stalking woman
Police arrested on counts of stalking and simple assault Thursday for allegedly stalking and threatening a woman.
Donald Matthew Herrmann, 51, 2948 Claycut Road, is accused of repeatedly driving past the woman’s home and walking up to her home late at night to see if she was there, an affidavit of probable cause says.
Herrmann, who knew the woman, also told the woman he would kill her when she told him she would obtain a restraining order against him, the affidavit says. The woman claimed she was afraid he would follow through with the threat, the affidavit says.
Parish Prison booking records show that Herrmann was booked in Parish Prison on stalking and simple assault.
Seven booked on counts of DWI
Authorities arrested at least seven people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 3 p.m. Thursday and 3 p.m. Friday, booking records show.
Those booked and the counts against them:
Jamarcus Demario Alexander, 17, was arrested Wednesday for an armed robbery he is accused of committing on Nov. 10, an affidavit of probable cause says.
Alexander approached the victim on King Bradford Street holding a handgun and robbing the person of a cell phone and $100 in cash, the affidavit says.
Police located Alexander Wednesday near Yorkfield and King Bradford drives, the affidavit says.
Alexander, 3482 King Bradford Drive, Apt. D, was taken to Parish Prison and booked on armed robbery, booking records show.

- James Lee Anthony, 35, 8856 Pecue Lane, first-offense DWI, failure to stop/yield, reckless operation of a vehicle and driving without a license.
- William Paul Lacoste, 24, 3580 Ash St., Zachary, first-offense DWI, speeding and driving with a suspended/revoked license.
- Louis Franklin Sanders Jr., 33, 9125 Sullivan Road, second-offense DWI.
- Joshua Shepard Platt, 32, 13219 La. 10 East, Clinton, second-offense DWI, improper lane usage and driving with a suspended/revoked license.
- Terrance Demetrius Hyde, 32, 14363 Firethorn Drive, first-offense DWI, failure to stop/yield, driving with a suspended/revoked license and drinking in a motor vehicle.
