Man jailed in foiled robbery, rape case
One of two men accused of forcibly entering a Darryl Drive apartment and demanding money from three people inside was arrested Tuesday, an affidavit of probable cause says.

Police booked Donald Jones, 26, on attempted aggravated rape, aggravated burglary, false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon and second-degree aggravated battery, Parish Prison booking records show.

Jones, 3114 Toronto Drive, and another black male entered the apartment shortly after 11:30 p.m., the affidavit says. Jones pulled out a .357-caliber revolver, ordered the female and two males to strip and demanded money, the affidavit says.

When Jones could not get any money from the victims, he told a male victim to kneel on the floor and repeatedly hit the victim in the face with the gun, the affidavit says.

Jones then forced the female victim into a room at gunpoint, the affidavit says. Police walked in as he attempted to rape her, the affidavit says.

His bond is set at $300,000.
