Popular Livonia restaurant damaged by blaze

LIVONIA — A Monday morning fire heavily damaged a popular restaurant in Pointe Coupee Parish, Police Chief Brad Joffrion said.
The fire at Not Your Mama’s Cafe and Tavern, 9025 La. 190, Livonia, about 15 miles south of New Roads, was reported at 5:45 a.m., Joffrion said.
“The restaurant was substantially damaged from the fire, smoke and water,” Joffrion said.
The restaurant was closed and unoccupied at the time of the fire, so nobody was injured, Joffrion added.
He said the cause of the fire was still under investigation.
A second Not Your Mama location also operates in Morganza.
