The East Baton Rouge Parish Democratic Party Executive Committee has issued its endorsements for the upcoming local, area and federal elections,  a news release says.

In some races, the committee endorsed multiple candidates or it did not endorse a candidate. Those people earning the panel’s endorsements  are:

The endorsements were made during a special meeting Sept. 20 in the Metro Council chambers where the committee listened to more than 30 candidates for office.

Candidates were not disqualified if they missed that meeting because the initial meeting was scheduled before hurricanes Gustav and Ike hit Louisiana, committee chairman Wade Byrd said in the news release.
