Early voting slated for Oct. 4 primaries

Early voting for the Oct. 4 primary will be held in East Baton Rouge Parish at Registrar of Voters offices from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. beginning Saturday through Sept. 27, excluding Sunday.

The ballot includes races for mayor, Metro Council, district attorney, state Supreme Court and other judgeships, Congress, Public Service Commission and Central Community School Board.

The runoff election, if necessary, will be in conjunction with the presidential election on Nov. 4.

Early voting for the primary takes place at:
  • Main Office: Governmental Building, 222 St. Louis St., Room 201.
  • Southeast Office: Court Plaza Building, 10500 Coursey Blvd Room 203.
  • Baker Office: Motor Vehicle Building, 2250 Main St, Baker.
  • Satellite Office: Louisiana Secretary of State Archives Building, 3851 Essen Lane.
Voters should bring a Louisiana driver’s license, a Louisiana special identification card or some other recognized photo identification and their voter registration card.
