DENHAM SPRINGS – Students will return to most Livingston Parish public schools Tuesday at normal times except for four schools, school officials said this afternoon.

Eastside Elementary in Denham Springs,  Levi Milton Elementary near Walker, French Settlement Elementary and French Settlement High schools still have not had power restored since Hurricane Gustav struck, school officials said in a statement.

The schools were among six that did not have power late this morning when school officials announced most schools would reopen Tuesday. The other two, Springfield Elementary and Holden schools, now will reopen Tuesday, school officials said this afternoon.

As soon as power is restored, the four remaining schools will be reopened for students, school officials said.

Check http://www.lpsb.org, call the central office at (225) 686-7044 or call the schools for information.

All school employees were to return to work today.
