FEMA updates list of distribution sites

Officials with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Governor’s Office on Saturday provided an updated list of distribution sites for food (meals-ready-to-eat), water, ice and tarps in the wake of Hurricane Gustav. The list sites is subject to change and the availability of items is not the same  at  all  sites.

The parishes and sites are:

• Allen:  101 Main St., Oakdale.
• Ascension: 9039 St. Landry Road — Lamar Dixon Center, Gonzales.
• Assumption: 260 Spur Road — Lucky Hit Shopping Center, Pierre Part; and 3302 La. 70 south, Napoleonville.
• Avoyelles: 312 N. Main St. — courthouse parking lot, Marksville.
• East Baton Rouge: 14507 Plank Road — Wal-Mart parking lot, Baker; 10606 N. Mall Drive at the PetSmart parking lot, Baton Rouge.
• East Feliciana: Jackson High School, 3501 La. 10, Jackson.
• Evangeline: 10613 Veterans Memorial Highway, Pine Prairie.
• Franklin: 3552 La. 875 — South Central Baptist Church, Wisner.
• Grant: 17779 La. 167, Dry Prong.
• Iberia: 1010 Main St., behind city hall, Jeanerette.
• Iberville: 3285 La. 75, Plaquemine; East Iberville High, Plaquemine; 61755 Bayou Road, multipurpose center, St. Gabriel.
• Jefferson: Alario Center, 2000 Segnetto Blvd., Westwego.
• Lafayette: Coliseum Barn, 2330 Johnston St., Blackham.
• Lafourche: 201 Church St., Holy Savior Church parking lot, Lockport; 242 Recreation Drive, Raceland.
• Lasalle: 3657 West Oak, Jena.
• Livingston: 28419 La. 63, I-12 at La. 63, Livingston;  26200 La. 43 — the American Legion Hall, Springfield.
• Pointe Coupee: 500 E. Main St. — St. Mary’s Church, New Roads.
• Rapides: 435 John Allison Drive, Alexandria and 2750 La. 28E, Pineville.
• St. Helena: 1590 La. 1042 — St. Helena Middle School, Greensburg. 
• St. John: 1709 W. Airline Highway, LaPlace. 
• St. Landry: Donald G. Stadium, two miles west of I-49 on La. 182, and 1334 S. Union St. — Central Fire Station, Opelousas.
• St. Martin: Henry Guidry Memorial Park in Henderson; 1227 Stephensville Road — Stephensville Fire Station, Stephensville; 100 Northside Park; Magnolia Park off La. 31, St. Martinville.
• St. Mary: 725 Myrtle Road — auditorium on La. 182, Morgan City;  Franklin City Park Recreation Center, corner of Gum and Hospital Avenue, Franklin.
• Tangipahoa: 757 W. Oak St., Amite.
• Terrebonne: 346 Civic Center Drive — Canal at East Barrow Street, Houma.
• West Baton Rouge: 850 8th St., Port Allen.
• West Feliciana: 9559 Bains Road, St. Francisville.
