Silliman Institute indefinitely closed

Silliman Institute in Clinton will be closed indefinitely because the school has no power, football coach Joe Moock said.


Literacy Week events postponed

All Literacy Week activities have been postponed. 

Debbie O’Connor, executive director for The Greater Baton Rouge Literacy Coalition Office, said plans are being made to reschedule activities.

The Greater Baton Rouge Literacy Coalition office is without power, O’Connor said.

Pennington center reopens for workers

The Pennington Biomedical Research Center will open for all employees today said Glen Duncan, director of communications for the center.

EBR Parish libraries to remain closed

East Baton Rouge Parish libraries will remain closed today, Assistant Director Mary Stein said.
