Man shot in robbery attempt

Baton Rouge police said they are looking for a man who tried to rob another man at 710 Park St. in the Garden District early this morning and then shot him.
Capt. Carl Kelley said in a news release that the victim, in his 20s, is in the Baton Rouge General Medical Center Mid-City with life-threatening injuries.
Kelley said the victim was going from his vehicle to his home on Oleander about 12:30 a.m. when a man with a gun confronted him, forced him into his residence, demanded money, then shot him. Kelley said the shooter then ran away to the west.
Police are looking for a black male, 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall, 180 pounds with short hair and wearing a white T-shirt.
