Zachary man killed when car hits culvert

A Zachary man died early Saturday when his Dodge Caravan crossed the center line, plunged into a ditch and struck a culvert in East Feliciana Parish, State Police reported.
Driver Craig Stout, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene by the East Feliciana Parish Coroner’s Office. Stout did not use a seat belt at the time of the crash and alcohol is suspected to be a factor, State Police reported.
The crash occurred along La. 964 south of La. 955 in East Feliciana Parish about 1:28 a.m., according to State Police.
