Mother, daughter booked in photo case
Police arrested a mother and daughter Thursday who allegedly snapped pornographic photos of a young male relative, arrest warrants say.
Police were contacted by an employee of the Walgreens drugstore at 5450 Plank Road, where the two rolls of film had been dropped off for development, the warrants say.
Vickie Marie Pourciau, 20, dropped off one of the sets, and her mother, Theresa Ann Pourciau, 52, dropped off the other, the arrest warrants say. Both women live at 4509 Hollywood St., Apt. 4C, booking documents show.
In the photos, the young male victim is pictured naked in multiple poses, the warrant says. One of the photos shows the Pourciaus standing next to the naked male victim.
Both women were booked into Parish Prison on a count of pornography involving a juvenile, booking documents show. Bond for each woman was set at $75,000.
Deputies arrest two in taxi driver beating
Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man and a juvenile Wednesday after they allegedly beat a cab driver over the head with a crowbar in an attempted armed robbery, an arrest affidavit says.
The driver, who works for Yellow Cab, picked the pair up at 11891 Plank Road on Wednesday afternoon, the affidavit says.
During the ride, the juvenile began hitting the driver on the head with the crowbar, causing him to become dazed, the affidavit says.
The cab driver was unable to stop at the intersection of Comite Road and Blackwater Drive, and headed into the woods where he hit a tree. The two men then bailed out of the car and fled on foot, the affidavit says.
Paramedics treated the driver for a gash and bump on his head, the affidavit said. Deputies located Myrell Eugene Howard, 21, 5435 Halsey St., Baker, fleeing the scene on foot, the affidavit says.
Howard was booked into Parish Prison on a count of attempted armed robbery, aggravated second-degree battery and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, booking documents say. Bond was set at $50,000.
Woman, 22, booked in attempted murder
Deputies arrested a 22-year-old woman Wednesday in the attempted murder of another woman in the Gardere Lane area Monday.
Terri Shadel Fairley, 1443 Jim Taylor Drive, allegedly attempted to use her Chevrolet Camaro to run down two women who were walking down Mariner Avenue around 9:50 p.m. Monday, an arrest affidavit says.
