Drug investigation catches 5 in Zachary

ZACHARY — Patrol officers and detectives arrested five people Wednesday night while using an undercover agent to buy drugs, a spokesman for Police Chief John Herty said.
In addition to the arrests, police seized two vehicles, more than $2,000 in cash and a quantity of crack cocaine and drugs in pill form, Capt. David McDavid said.
Additional arrests are expected as a result of the undercover investigation, he said.
Officers booked Roger Hill, 49, 4795 Avenue G, Zachary, with two counts of distribution of cocaine and Barbara Hill, 48, same address, with one count of cocaine distribution, McDavid said.
Gladys Witherspoon, 35, 18733 Samuels Road, Lot 244, Zachary, was booked with possession of ecstasy or MDMA and possession with intent to distribute oxycodone, McDavid said.
Officers also arrested Alvin “Ricky” Stewart, 48, 4716 Avenue Z, Zachary, on an outstanding East Baton Rouge Parish arrest warrant and arrested George Wilkerson, 46, 4224 Ada St., Zachary, on a count of possession of drug paraphernalia, McDavid said.
