Sobriety checkpoint in Livingston parish tonight

A sobriety checkpoint will be conducted tonight in Livingston parish by the Louisiana State Police - Troop A, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Walker Police Department.

The checkpoint will begin at 9 p.m. tonight and end at 3 a.m. on Saturday, July 12.

Recommendations for drivers: 
  • Don’t risk it - If you plan to drink, do not drive.
  • Choose a sober designated driver before driving.
  • Take a taxicab or ask a friend to drive you home.
  • If possible, spend the night where the activity is being held.
  • Report impaired drivers to law enforcement.
