Running for Office: Gonzales City Council, Division E
Republican John Cagnolatti, 59, is pursuing the office of City Councilman for Division E, which Alvin “Bully” Dragg is vacating.
“I have lived most of my life in this great city,” Cagnolatti said. “I grew up here; I watched Gonzales grow from a small town to a thriving city.
“I feel that Gonzales provides and, with my help, will continue to provide, a quality of life second to none for its citizens.”
Cagnolatti said he would work to expand parks, buildings and recreation areas’ beautification projects; support continued growth in the Gonzales Police and Fire departments; and cooperating with the Ascension Parish Council on issues of mutual concern.
Cagnolatti has served on the Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service Commission of Gonzales for more than 13 years and promises to share more of his qualifications during the campaign.
Qualifying for the Oct. 4 election begins next Wednesday.
