Zachary house fire origin's suspicious
ZACHARY — A home south of here was destroyed Friday in a fire investigators say might have been deliberately set.
Firefighters were called to 1015 Meadow Glen Ave. around 1:30 p.m. to find a bedroom in the home fully enflamed, said Pokey Anders, a Zachary Fire Department spokesman.
Although the fire was extinguished within minutes, other rooms in the house sustained heat and smoke damage, Anders said, adding that no one was home at the time.
The fire started in various parts of the house, leading investigators to believe it was set intentionally, Anders said.
