Gov. Jindal's legislative director resigns
NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- After serving fewer than six months, Gov. Bobby Jindal's legislative director is resigning.
Tommy Williams told The Times-Picayune on Sunday that the decision to leave is his and that he's leaving on good terms.
He did not give a reason for his resignation but said he plans to go back to his career as a lobbyist.
Williams' resignation comes at a time of strained relations between Jindal and the Legislature, which adjourned last week from its third session this year.
