ZACHARY — Police are looking for a Clinton woman accused of stealing more than $12,000 from an elderly woman for whom she was employed as a sitter, a spokesman for Police Chief John Herty said.

Detective Johnny Dillon has obtained an arrest warrant accusing Lencia L. George, 25, of exploitation of the infirm, 37 counts of forgery and one count each of felony theft and access device fraud, Capt. David McDavid said.

George’s last known address was 12103 Silliman St., Clinton, he said.

McDavid said George is accused of paying some of her own bills by writing checks on the victim’s bank account.

Anyone knowing where police may find George is asked to call Zachary police at (225) 654-9393.
