Galliano man arrested in shooting

GALLIANO — A Galliano man was arrested and booked with attempted murder Wednesday after he shot another man in a domestic dispute, Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre said in a news release.
Sheldon Bouvier, 25, 142 East 128th St., is accused of shooting Jason Webber, 27, East 112 139th St., in the chest with a .22-caliber rifle, the sheriff said.
Webber was in critical condition at West Jefferson Hospital in Harvey, Webre said.
The incident took place early Wednesday when Bouvier stopped by Webber’s house to drop off some of his former girlfriend’s personal items and got into an argument with Webber, the sheriff said.
Bouvier returned to his car, got the rifle and shot Webber, the sheriff said.
Bouvier was held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center and bond has not been set, the sheriff said.
