Committee names Martin sole finalist for LSU chancellor

An LSU search committee voted late this afternoon to name Michael Martin, president of New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, N.M. as the sole finalist for LSU chancellor.
Martin is expected to interview in Baton Rouge on Tuesday. The search committee will vote on his recommendation on May 23. The LSU Board of Supervisors will make the final decision on who should run LSU’s Baton Rouge campus.
Martin would replace Sean O’Keefe, who resigned earlier this year.
