Man shot 6 times; suspect in custody
A 23-year-old man was arrested late Friday, accused of shooting a University of Central Florida football player six times while the football player was standing in front of a Wyandotte Street home earlier that morning.

Emmanuel Davis, 3235 Eaton St., is accused of shooting Johnell Neal, a defensive back from Redemptorist High who led UCF in tackles in 2006, about 2:30 a.m. near 3745 Wyandotte St., Baton Rouge Police Department spokesman Cpl.  L’Jean McKneely said.

Davis allegedly approached three victims, two of whom were not injured, from the rear of a neighbor’s yard and opened fire, an affidavit of probable cause says. Neal, who suffered non-life-threatening wounds, identified Davis as his assailant, the affidavit says.

Davis was arrested on three counts of attempted first-degree murder, four counts of aggravated criminal damage to property and one count of illegal use of a weapon, booking records show. Bond was set at $150,000.

Suspect, 22, booked with child molesting
A 22-year-old man was arrested Saturday, accused of inappropriately touching a teenage girl.

Christopher Arnell Monroe inappropriately touched the 15-year-old girl around 1 a.m. Saturday, an affidavit of probable cause says.

The girl told her mother, who then told law enforcement, the affidavit says.

Monroe, 4546 North St., was booked into Parish Prison on one count of molestation of a juvenile.

Man, 66, arrested on child sex count
A 66-year-old man is accused of kissing an 11-year-old girl on the mouth after calling her over to his house.

Joseph Clark, 4915 Alvin Dark Ave, No. 1502, is accused of kissing the girl about 6 p.m. Sunday while fondling himself through his underwear, an affidavit of probable cause says. Clark was identified by the victim and two other witnesses, the affidavit says.

He was arrested Sunday and booked into Parish Prison on a count of indecent behavior with a juvenile, booking records show. Bond was set at $35,000.

Woman arrested after man stabbed
Police arrested a 30-year-old woman Friday accused of stabbing a man in the arm during an argument.

Casandre Fuller stabbed the man with a kitchen knife at her Titan Avenue home, an affidavit of probably cause says.

Legal or illegal...hispanics work harder than many caucasion or african american workers. Lets focus on the high murder rate or individuals with excessive DUI's and not worry about someone just trying to make a living.
