Smoke evacuates Lakewood Quarters
A mysterious smoke caused the evacuation of Lakewood Quarters Retirement Community Saturday night,  firefighters said Sunday.

Evacuation of the facility’s more than 130 residents was underway as St. George Fire Protection District firefighters arrived at 9:09 p.m., said spokesman Eldon Ledoux.

Two residents were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, he said.

Residents were allowed back into the building at 8585 Summa Ave. at 10:10 p.m., after the smoke dissipated, Ledoux said. Investigators have yet to determine where the smoke came from,  he  said.
