Albany man booked in theft, drug counts
ALBANY — Livingston and Tangipahoa Parish deputies arrested an Albany man who fled from them and was wanted on burglary and drug charges, deputies said Monday.
David Hermann, 28, of Glascock Lane, led a Tangipahoa Parish sheriff’s deputy into Livingston Parish during a chase Saturday involving the four-door Mercury sedan Hermann was driving, deputies said in a statement.
Livingston Parish sheriff’s deputies joined the pursuit on U.S. 190 to North Café Line Road near Albany, where the car chase ended and Hermann fled on foot.
Deputies called in a Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office helicopter and tracked down Hermann in minutes, Livingston Parish sheriff’s deputies said.
Hermann was booked on resisting arrest, felony theft and on bench warrants for simple burglary and possession of Schedule II drugs, deputies said.
His bond was set at $76,000 and he has a hold placed on him by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies said.
