Missing man returns home, family says

A 22-year-old mentally handicapped man reported missing Friday returned home to his family Saturday morning, East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said.

Ernest James Robertson was last seen Thursday morning at the Greyhound bus station on Florida Street, Hicks said. Deputies began searching for Robertson on Friday.

5 booked with DWI in EBR Parish Prison
Authorities arrested at least five people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 3 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, booking records show.

Those booked and the counts against them:
  • Gary Babin, 20, 14494 Whispering Oak Drive, Gonzales, first-offense DWI, reckless operation of vehicle, improper lane usage, following too close and failure to signal.
  • Michael Prestigiacomo, 24, 12316 Cardeza Ave., second-offense DWI, improper turns and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
  • Zachariah Ralph McAdams, 25, 25243 Live Oak St., Denham Springs, second-offense DWI, reckless operation of a vehicle, improper lane usage, failure to signal, careless driving, littering from a vehicle and drinking in a motor vehicle.
  • Michael Thrower, 37, 39427 Lakeland, Prairieville, first-offense DWI and reckless operation of vehicle.
  • Kenneth J. Szuszka, 68, 4027 Secretariat Drive, first-offense DWI, improper lane usage and motor vehicle inspection required.
