Authorities arrested at least 14 people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge
Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 3 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Monday.
Those booked and the counts against them:
- David Murphy, 34, 7925-A S. Hendrick Drive, was booked on counts of third-offense DWI, hit and run, driver’s license required, insurance required and failure to report an accident.
- William Perry Fredericks, 25, 147 Roy Fredericks Road, Natchitoches, first-offense DWI, possession of alcohol in a vehicle, reckless operation of a vehicle and possession of marijuana.
- Ignacio Elias Barrios, 34, 8686 Coy Ave., No. 2, first-offense DWI, improper lane usage, driver’s license required and operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States.
- Kevin Johnson, 33, 1754 Greenwell Springs Road, Greenwell Springs, second-offense DWI, reckless operation of a vehicle, one-way street violation, hit and run, aggravated flight from officer, resisting an officer and disobeying a red light.
- Atilano Xochilt, 26, 5600 Carmichael Road, Montgomery, Ala., first-offense DWI, improper lane usage, driver’s license required and operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States.
- Nixon Miguel Alvizures, 19, 424 Helarich, Houston, first-offense DWI, headlights required and reckless operation of a vehicle.
- Dameon Maurice Mayberry, 46, 1117 Trinity Lane, Houston, first-offense DWI, simple obstruction of a public highway, reckless operation of a vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and misrepresentation during booking.
- Gerald William Middleton, 21, 2045 N. 3rd St., No. 407, first-offense DWI, aggravated criminal damage to property, reckless operation of a vehicle, hit and run, insurance required and inspection sticker expired.
- Stephen Willis Ledet, 39, 2181 Glendale Ave., first-offense DWI, obstruction of public passage, reckless operation of a vehicle and drinking in a motor vehicle.
- Kimberli Shalette Mason, 28, 1930 Faith Ave., Baker, first-offense DWI and speeding.
- Christina M. Gonzalez, 22, 19456 Kellywood Court, second-offense DWI and driving left of center.
- Arnold Ray Griffin, 72, 6986 Hanks Drive, first-offense DWI, obstruction of a public passage and reckless operation of a vehicle.
- Rose Marie Parker, 30, 7824 Somerset St., first-offense DWI, reckless operation of a vehicle, driver’s license not in possession, possession of marijuana and obstruction of a public passage.
- Kevin James Johnson, 23, 1463 Napoleon St., first-offense DWI, turns not allowed, reckless operation of a vehicle and driver’s license suspended or revoked.
A 30-year-old man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly forced himself on a juvenile, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office reported.
Odis Chrystal, 6676 Cezanne Ave., No. C-101, is accused of the incident in the 8700 block of Elvin Drive, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said. Chrystal was booked into Parish Prison on a count of aggravated rape.
Deputies arrest man in robbery of woman
A man accused of robbing a woman while she was checking her mailbox at her apartment complex in the 4000 block of Southpark Drive was arrested Saturday.
Craig Leyland Willis, 17, 4029 Southpark Drive, Apt. D, is accused of approaching the woman on Thursday with a gun and demanding her purse, cell phone and keys, East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said. The woman later identified Willis as her robber, Hicks said.
Willis was booked into Parish Prison Saturday on a count of armed robbery, booking records show.
Relative called target of robbery attempt
East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies arrested a 27-year-old man Friday shortly after he was accused of trying to rob a relative at gunpoint.
Louis Butler III, who was booked into Parish Prison with an unlisted address, is accused of the robbery in the 8300 block of Governor Drive on Friday, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said.
He was arrested shortly afterward and booked into Parish Prison on a count of attempted armed robbery.
