Denham Springs resident dies in crash
Denham Springs resident Paul Guest, 27, died in a car crash Thursday night on La. Hwy. 1028, south of La. Hwy. 64 in Livingston Parish.
State Police began investigating the crash around 9 p.m. and concluded that a 2005 Toyota Camry traveled northbound on LA Hwy 1028 and entered a curve to the left.
As the Toyota Camry traveled through the curve, the vehicle exited the road to the right and struck an embankment.
The collision caused the Camry to rotate and flip into the air as the roof of the car struck a tree on the driver’s side. After striking the tree, the Toyota Camry landed upside down.
Guest sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Livingston Parish Coroner’s Office.
Guest wore a seatbelt and impairment is not suspected to be a factor in this crash.
