For the second consecutive week, a nationally ranked opponent shredded the LSU defense and took the Tigers to the final play of the game. This time, LSU could not pull out victory as the Tigers suffered their first defeat of the season. |

AUDIO AND PHOTO GALLERY ~ OCTOBER 2007 LSU-Tulane Flashbacks LSU only needed a half of football to put away Tulane, 34-9, in the Superdome. However, that half was the second one because the Tigers struggled through the first 30 minutes. LSU improved to 5-0 in beating Tulane for the 16th consecutive time. The Tigers also moved up to No. 1 in The Associated Press for the first time since 1959. |
