Bananas Foster

6 bananas cut lengthwise in half
½ cup unsalted butter
¼ cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons Steens cane syrup
¼ cup banana liqueur
¼ cup dark rum
Pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon
In a heavy bottom sauté pan, melt butter over high heat. Add brown sugar and Steens cane syrup and blend well. Remove from flame and add banana liqueur and return to flame. Stir in bananas and cook until tender, remove from flame and add dark rum. Return to flame, being careful as rum will ignite. Sprinkle nutmeg and cinnamon and swirl the pan until the flame dies. Serve over ice cream or crepes.
