Spiced Pecans

Makes 2 cups.

1 lb. pecan halves
1/4 cup butter
1 to 2 tbls. Tony Chachere’s Original Creole Seasoning


1. Place pecans in a greased slow cooker.

2. In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt butter or margarine and pour over pecans in slow cooker.

3. Sprinkle half of the seasoning for the buttered pecans and stir to mix together. Sprinkle the remaining seasoning over top of pecans and cook on high heat for 1 to 1-1/2 hours, stirring halfway through.

4. Remove pecans from cooker and spread on wax paper to cool. When pecans are cooled, package in plastic bags or airtight containers. Small bags of pecans trimmed with holiday ribbon make nice gifts.
