Traveling for the Fourth or staying put? It’s safe to say whichever path you have chosen will involve food.

For those grilling steaks or barbecue chicken this holiday, Potato Stuffing may be just the right side dish. Cooking with a small appliance won’t heat up the kitchen, and that’s another side benefit.

If you will be traveling with the food, don’t forget the insulated carriers that are custom-fit for today’s slow cookers. If you don’t have one, insulate with newspaper taped around the exterior and wedge the cooker into a tight area of your car to eliminate spillage.
