Dig, divide and transplant perennials such as daylilies, ajuga, daisy, rudbeckia, coreopsis and yarrow now through February. Keep plants watered and mulched.

Rake leaves to put in your compost pile or to use as mulch. A compost pile can be as simple as piling leaves in the corner where a hurricane fence meets. Composting against a wooden fence or building will rot the wood.
