GAME DAY: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, East Baton Rouge Parish Central Branch Library, 11260 Joor Road. Join the library for an afternoon of fun playing Halo 3 and Rock Band! Registration is required. (225) 262-2660.

BEAD IT: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Pride-Chaneyville Branch Library, 13600 Pride-Port Hudson Road. Create unique and beautiful beaded jewelry. The library will provide an array of colors and styles to choose from. Registration is required. (225) 658-1555.

INDONESIAN SHADOW PUPPETS: 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Greenwell Springs Road Regional Branch Library, 11300 Greenwell Springs Road. Teens will learn how to make Indonesian shadow puppets. Registration is required. (225) 274-4470.

PAWS AT WORK: 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Main Library, 7711 Goodwood Blvd. K-9 units from the the Baton Rouge Police Department will talk about the dogs and demonstrate some of their special skills. For children ages 4 and older. (225) 231-3760.

THE PHARAOH’S CURSE: 4 p.m. Friday, Baker Branch Library, 3501 Groom Road. Teens are invited to search for clues, examine the evidence, act out the parts of the suspects and solve the crime. Registration is required. (225) 778-5960.

LOUISIANA WILD: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Baker Branch Library, 3501 Groom Road. Wildlife expert Wayne Houston with Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries will give a presentation on Louisiana wildlife to children ages 6 to 11.
