“My dress is from American Apparel. Rocket Dog boots. And my belt and sweater are vintage from the thrift store.”

“I like a little ’50s style with a little punk rock. I guess it’s my version of classic style.”
What do you build your daily look around?
“I wear mostly dresses. So I pick that out, then all the other pieces get thrown together after that.”

“My tattoos.”
They’re pretty elaborate. How many do you have?
“I have 12 sittings worth of tattoos.”
When did you get your first one?
“The day I turned 18.”
What is it about tattoos?
“It’s an easy way to make a personal statement really artistically. I mean, if you own a cool painting, it’s in your house and nobody can see it unless they come to your house. With a tattoo, everybody sees it.”
You say it’s an “easy” way, but doesn’t it hurt?
“It depends where you get it. I mean, it’s easy on a day-to-day basis, but not application easy.”
I skimp on…
“Accessories. I like to buy things at the thrift store. But I really like the things I buy, and I think they’re more original that way.”
Name the celebrity whose closet you would like to raid.
“I usually like Gwen Stefani, but she’s been dressing a little strange. I guess I like her personal style more than her design style, her glam stuff.”
Your house is on fire and you can grab only one thing in your closet, what would it be?
“My MP3 player. I value my music more than my clothes.”

“This poppy lipstick by Aveda.”
