Tell us about what you’re wearing.
“I really threw it together at the last minute — patent leather Nine West shoes, black skirt from Petite Sophisticate, patent leather belt from Forever XXI and red top from Express.”
Who most influences your style?
“I don’t know if it’s a ‘who’ more than a ‘what.’ I like things that look classic. I watch a lot of classic films, and I like to mimic the women in those classic films and throw in a new twist.”
Your house is on fire and you can grab only one thing out of your closet. What would it be?
“I have a black linen dress that always looks great … I’d probably grab that.”
What’s the best fashion advice you’ve ever gotten?
“You can admire everything, but buy what looks good on your body, not what looks good on someone else’s.”
What’s your favorite trend right now?
“I’m in love with the pencil skirt! It’s perfect for my body type and looks good no matter what it’s paired with.”
What trend do you wish was already over?
“Wedge heels! I can’t stand them!”
Name a celebrity whose closet you’d like to raid.
“Halle Berry and Katie Holmes.”
Make us laugh — what was your biggest fashion mistake?
“Where to start? I was obsessed with the big fanned bangs in grade school. I should burn the pictures.”
