Frogs ‘ribbit’ into Exploreum
MOBILE, Ala. — Some are as big as dinner plates. Others as tiny as a dime. And they’ll hop into a new home at the Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center for a “ribbitting” good time.
“FROGS!” will feature everything about our favorite four-legged amphibians.
Tiny, poison-dart frogs will be highlighted in this new exhibit and more. Some are highly toxic and used by indigenous people for hunting darts. But animals on exhibit are safe.
Most frogs are nocturnal, so lighting will be modified to “switch” the days and nights of the amphibians so they’ll be more active during visitor hours.
The exhibit runs from May 31 to Oct. 31.
